I watched a really inspiring video in class yesterday. It isn't really related to our coursework but my very nice Korean lecturer took one hour of his precious seminar time to show it us nonetheless.
It's this speech from some (probably big shot) guy at National Geographic. He talks about the 4 key factors to succeed:
Passion
Vision
(I didn't catch the 3rd; maybe Technique or something like that)
Creativity
With passion and vision, commitment and discipline will follow effortlessly.
You need to work on your technique to be ready when opportunities arise.
And that sometimes, the answer is just around us if we open our eyes and change our perspective. (He is talking about photography so to him, the difference between a very good shot and a good shot is sometimes a matter of milimetres.)
There is one message that really hits home for me.
"There is more than one solution to The Answer. "
We may not be always taking a smooth ride to whatever we want in life. But we can hone our perseverance, we may take a longer and bump-ier ride but we'll be there eventually and the process may make us much better persons.
Hmmm...

Ting! Congrats, you are a certified driver now!! Looking forward to a rideeeeee!
And god bless the man/woman who returned my laptop. My heart nearly stopped. Thank goodness indeed. Bless you bless you bless you!
