UG @ Timbre

A simple meetup between 2 members (i.e. Qi and Geo) of the group, plus an innocent catalyst (i.e. Fang) always evolved into a full group (i.e. UG) gathering somewhere.

That of course is insufficient without a procastinator in action (that's yours truly) and several "death" threats from Ting,

"Wah lau, the whole group is here lor. Except for YOU!!!"

Urg.

Our initial plan to go Rain (some ktv pub) to finish up that half bottle of Chivas didn't came through. And my dear friends were kind enough to go somewhere near SMU 'cause Collin and I were there trying to make me do my essay (double sigh). But I think it is also because they know I wouldn't go if it is somewhere not within walking distance.

So anyway, we ended up at Timbre and I like the place and the lead singer (because he has really angular jaws) and the thin crust pizza (oooh) minus the ants and the mosquitoes.

Everything was the usual. Great chill out session with my favourite people. And a "sibei boliao (in Sam's words)" game between Meiqi (ok, i really rather call you this than 'Qi') and I.

PROJECT S rocks my socks!
(Meiqi!!!! Socks! Sock! Stock! Stocked! Stockings! Stalk! Stalked! Stalking!) Erhem. I can't help it. Hahahahaha.

We are ostracised! Only 3 of us are on this Side of the table.

The other Side of the table, along with Ting and Sam.
That's Six of them.

The couples. :)

(Meiqi! We are reserving a Space for you,
with a much better guy that will come along slowly but surely!)

Shamelessly affectionate folks. Heh.

Random pointless Shots - courtesy of Ting

Joe actually looks quite cute when he's not doing his all funny expressions.

I don't know why I feel motherly in this Shot.

OMG! I have Scheming friends!! Mq likes to lean back to make her head looks Smaller, which effectively made my head 1.5 times bigger than hers in this Shot. -_-"

I tried to lean back on the Second attempt and it caused me to have double chin. Eekksss. I don't know which one is worst - double chin or bigger head. Mq, Scheming!

While I have Some Scheming friends (wahaha), most of my friends are nice.

Some pretend to be nice. Then...

'Nuff Said. Haha.

See you guys at Rain next to finish that Chivas. :)

OH! A final S.

SPARTANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!

P.S. My Casio served me well last night. Didn't have to do any tweaking on all the above photos. Maybe it knows I am gonna replaced it with a new one soon. (Still trying to convince myself that Fujifilm is not THAT ugly. If I get a Canon or Sony, you can call me shallow.)

my biggest boo boo

omg. things can't get any more embarassing than this.
gimme a hole and i'll plant my head straight into it.

minutes ago, this guy - which i have thought to be my junior from band; which i have been smiling to since last semester; which i spent a good 5 mins talking about everything and anything under the assumption that he is the said junior - just revealed that he is NOT the guy i thought he is.

turns out he is the older brother whom i swear is a splitting image of my junior.

my god. so embarassing!

BF and UG.

I dragged Collin to a symphony orchastra concert yesterday to complete this 200-800 words essay. Urg.

(Go into more details later when I feel better. Just got pissed off by said guy. Hmph.)

Anyhow, we two poor souls, who are extremely sleepy after what seems like a 2hours lullaby, got dragged to meet the rest of gang. Urps, I couldn't tell if it is peer pressure or moral obligation. Heh. But, BUT (pre-empting violent reactions from the rest), I didn't regret going! Even though I almost fell asleep once or twice on the pretty chairs at Barfly.

The decor of Barfly is really baroque-inspired! I want my room to be like that! Shall convince my dad to buy me a black chandelier. I wannnntttt!!

I will be uploading more pics when I have time. Here's just one to show how crazy Ting got, how Fang kept her cool in all the madness, how Geo readily assumed her narcissistic tendencies, how I always play along and how terrified Meiqi was. Heh.

We are meeting damn often these days. And I really enjoy them all.

When's the next meet up!?

Crossing my fingers. I can do this!

Wish me plenty of luck and pray for me please!

Seize the day!

I watched a really inspiring video in class yesterday. It isn't really related to our coursework but my very nice Korean lecturer took one hour of his precious seminar time to show it us nonetheless.

It's this speech from some (probably big shot) guy at National Geographic. He talks about the 4 key factors to succeed:

Passion
Vision
(I didn't catch the 3rd; maybe Technique or something like that)
Creativity

With passion and vision, commitment and discipline will follow effortlessly.
You need to work on your technique to be ready when opportunities arise.
And that sometimes, the answer is just around us if we open our eyes and change our perspective. (He is talking about photography so to him, the difference between a very good shot and a good shot is sometimes a matter of milimetres.)

There is one message that really hits home for me.

"There is more than one solution to The Answer. "

We may not be always taking a smooth ride to whatever we want in life. But we can hone our perseverance, we may take a longer and bump-ier ride but we'll be there eventually and the process may make us much better persons.

Hmmm...

---

Ting! Congrats, you are a certified driver now!! Looking forward to a rideeeeee!

And god bless the man/woman who returned my laptop. My heart nearly stopped. Thank goodness indeed. Bless you bless you bless you!

Alright, off to another mad day in school.

Never give up.

They tell you - when life throws lemons at you, make lemonade?

This semester's beginning to mirror the previous where you find yourself terribly busy and all worn out; and where the amount of effort you put in simply do not churn out the expected results.

So we making lemonade yo?

Shan't let that be a self fulfilling prophecy and pledged to push myself harder (even if I don't go for honours). It is one of those vulnerable days where I need to prove to myself that I can succeed if I put my heart to it.

At this juncture, a little motivation never hurts. I get mine at a cheap price of 45cents, and it almost never fail to give me a morale boost.

I am still holding on to my dreams.

I've splurge. Urps.

Forgive me, (insert some higher power entities), I've splurged.

See, I shop a decent lot. But I have my threshold for certain things, especially clothes since most are overrated and overpriced*. And LRH makes this point all the more clear to me.

But this one, I can't help it.

I don't know why i like it so much.
Maybe, it matches my I-am-a-slippers-kind-of-person personality.
And maybe i should head back to Zara to get the tee inside too - comfy and cheappp.

I wanna shoppppp moreeee.

*Advert: Little Red Heels don't do that! Heh. We promises style at super affordable prices. Bottomline is really not our biggest concern. :)
